Spring is officially here – Yippee!

We had a pretty mild winter, but it is always exciting when the spring weather arrives.  The Auxiliary decided to stop advertising in a paper newspaper, that would have been The Mercury.  It is expensive.  We will continue to send out our email Blast to those of you who wish to receive them, and we usually have a little something in the online news outlet, The Patch (Phoenixville edition).  It can usually be found in  the Bulletin Board category.  So, it is important to keep the little piece of paper with our donut schedule, which is attached to each order.  Please help us remind our non-computer savvy friends and family who came to expect an announcement in The Mercury.  We are sorry for any inconvenience.

We had a very successful “Fastnaut” time donut sale in February.  Thank you to everyone who ordered donuts, and thank you to our loyal volunteers who made, packed, advertised, and sold the donuts.

Please start thinking about volunteering for our donut sales, but especially consider working at shift or two during the last week in July during the Kimberton Community Fair.  For some reason, we especially need lots of volunteers for the latter part of the Fair week.  Keep it in mind if you could, it is greatly appreciated, and helps fund our Fire Department. You can call our donut line at 610-935-1388, option 4, to leave a message of your interest in volunteering.  Be well!

Embrace Winter with our Donuts Just in Time to Celebrate Fastnacht Day 2016

Our first Donut Days of 2016 come in time to have our donuts for your Fastnacht Day enjoyment

If we have bad weather for this or any of our sales during the winter, please check for announcements regarding cancellations, or postponement before you head out to pick up your donuts.  You can call 610-935-1388, or go to this website for updates.

2015 – Spring is here!

With the changing season comes other changes.  Last month the Auxiliary decided to stop putting together Mixed bags of donuts.  There are a few good reasons, but one important reason is that we just don’t have the manpower.  Many of our workers come right from their paying day time jobs. We always welcome new volunteers.  Just leave your name and phone number with one of our volunteers.  If you need an assortment of donuts, you might try a half-dozen of each Powdered, Plain, and Cinnamon.  Most of our dedicated customers were quite understanding, however, there were a couple that were irate and downright rude.  Ya just can’t please everyone. Besides – more donuts for us!

The other change was our ordering cut-off time from 4 pm to 12 noon.  There is such a demand for our famous donuts that we needed more time to cook, cool, bag, and fill your orders before the doors opened at 7 pm.  A very large percentage of our customers choose 7 pm for pick up time, and we want to be ready.  We’ll see you Monday night, hopefully not all of you at 7 pm.  Thanks for supporting the fire company.

2015FatTuesday2MasksPartake in a long tradition of eating Fastnachts on Monday, February 16 and Tuesday, February 17, 2015.   These are our regular donuts, but the idea is similar.  Fat Tuesday is the last day to eat tasty treats before fasting or ‘giving up something you really like during Lent’ in preparation of Easter.

Please remember our new cut-off time is 12 noon on Mondays of our donut sales.

Be careful in the snow and ice – spring is right around the corner.

Yippee! Winter is here, and so are the donuts!

Remember the new ordering cut-off time is 12 noon on Mondays of our donut sales. But you can call us during pick up hours to ask if we can take more orders.  Walk-ins are welcome but may have to wait 1/2 hour, or we may have no donuts left.  Ordering is best.

Our next sale is January 26 & 27, 2015

Our next sale is January 26 & 27, 2015.
